Pay Per Click Advertising
Pay Per Click (PPC) is one way to start driving traffic to your website very quickly. PPC advertising is based on a bidding system of targeted keywords relevant to your ads. It's called "pay per click" because you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. When you create a PPC advertising campaign, your ads are displayed in the "sponsored" section of the search engine results for the keywords you target. Generally, if you bid high enough, your ad will appear on the first page of the results.
When using PPC advertising, it's important to remember that it does not mean the person who clicks on your ad actually purchases the product you're promoting. You're going to be charged each time your ad is clicked on and viewed by a potential customer with the hope that it results in a sale. Most Internet marketers use PPC advertising at some time or another. Some marketers use PPC as their primary form of advertising, others only for testing, and others use it to build their opt-in mailing list.
