Developing Content For Your Website
The content on your website is arguably the most important part of your site. People are usually searching the 'Net for information, so that's almost always what they're looking for when they click on your site link. You can have a great domain name, a clean web design, and the best products available but if you don't provide good content for your visitors it will dramatically decrease your chances of converting those visitors into paying customers. Plus, search engines (like Google) love fresh, unique content which translates to better SE rankings if your keywords are used properly. It's a good idea to do an outline of the topics your site will cover, so you can plan your website content development accordingly.
There are three basic website content development options:
1. Write Your Own Content.
This is usually the best option, although many new Internet business owners cringe at the idea. The fact is, you don't have to be a professional writer to create good content for your website. It simply needs to be clear, informative, and easy to understand. You always want to check for grammatical and spelling errors as well, so that your site will appear professional. It's usually less intimidating to think of developing each page of content one at a time instead of thinking of creating the content for an entire website. With this method in mind, each page can be seen as it's own
article and then writen in smaller "chunks".
Article Speed Writing is a fantastic resource that will teach how to write effortlessly.
Instant Article Wizard is a fabulous article research software that will help you find the information you need to create your site content quickly.
2. Hire a Ghost Writer. Utilizing this option often depends upon your marketing and/or site development budget since it involves you paying someone to develop your website content for you. However, these days, you can usually obtain good written copy for as low as $7 per article (400-600 words) and "okay" copy for even less. If you decide to hire a freelance writer, then using freelance sites such as GoFreelance.com or Elance.com are highly recommended. Be sure to carefully check the profiles and ratings of the freelancers before you hire them.
3. Purchase Private Label Rights (PLR) Content. Many people choose this option because it eliminates the need to do topic research for your content and greatly reduces the amount of actual writing that's required. Because most PLR content is sold to others besides yourself, you will need to revise the PLR content before you use it on your site to make it as unique as possible. If you plan on having multiple websites on a variety of topics,
PLR Pro is the best and is highly recommended. If you are just starting out and only need one topic for your website, I recommend checking out
All Private Label Content. They provide great content on a variety of topics at very reasonable prices.
