I’ve been thinking a lot about my marketing strategies and what I plan to change for 2010. Mobile Marketing is a fairly new medium for marketing your business, but one I’m very interested in. Wikipedia defines mobile marketing as “marketing on or with a mobile device, such as a mobile phone.” Since mobile phones and text messaging have become the norm these days, using these tools as a way to leverage your marketing message is a smart way to ensure that you get your message out to the masses.
If you think about it, text messaging marketing campaigns may quite possibly be the most reliable way to get your message out there. People will avoid answering their phone if they don’t know who the call is from or if the call is interrupting their time. People will delete emails if they don’t know who the email is from, suspect that its spam, or simply decide the message isn’t important to them. But text messages are another story. How many times have you NOT read a text message that has come to your phone? I can honestly say that I’ve never deleted a text message without reading it first – never, not once. Do you see the power in that?
Many people think that starting a mobile marketing campaign is complicated and expensive, but companies like 84444.com have made it easy and affordable. 84444.com offers a variety of mobile marketing campaign options as well – from interactive text campaigns, text broadcast campaigns, text voting, text contests, and even text coupons. Pricing plans start at $79 per month for up to 1,000 text messages. And they support just about every major service provider including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint/Nextel, Cellular One, Dobson, US Cellular, and Cincinnati Bell. The cool thing is they even offer a free trial (which includes 25 free text messages)! I’m definitely going to integrate mobile marketing into my 2010 marketing campaigns. How about you?

Mobile marketing is the inn thing, however a lot of mobile companies sell their numbers to marketing companies and a lot of us delete those messages without reading them as they are marketing a product. you can give it a try it might work. Try for other alternative also.

Hi Maria, thanks for your input. That’s definitely something to keep in mind when using mobile marketing. And yes, trying other alternatives IS important. I believe in having at least 4 different marketing methods working for you at all times.
