There are many amazing courses on list building available for you to help you learn this extremely important aspect of your business. As you know, your list will prove to be your most valuable asset.

What many of these courses fail to mention, is that there is another great source for building a list, and that is JV Giveaways. This may very well be the most overlooked and underutilized list building technique.

A JV Giveaway is a site where members contribute a product to the site so that other members can download it for their personal use. How this builds your list is that if someone wants to download your product, they have to opt-in to your newsletter.

The best part is that it doesn’t cost anything to become a contributor and you can gain anywhere from a couple of hundred to a couple thousand subscribers from each JV Giveaway
that you participate in. Now, in my opinion, this has to be the single most easiest way to build yourself a list, especially if you don’t have one yet. Since all the contributors are required to promote the site, some giveaways end up having tens of thousands of members all there to download products.

There is also incentive for contributors to promote the giveaway since their ranking on the gifts page is directly proportionate to the amount of referrals they bring to the site. Even if you don’t have a list to promote to, you still will gain a decent amount of subscribers even at the bottom of the page.

Now, you may be wondering what is required of you to become a contributor so you can build your own list. All you need is a website, an autoresponder, and a product that you want to donate to the site. That’s it! In some cases, you don’t even need a website, but only the autoresponder. However, if you want to make a good impression on your new subscriber, it’s better to have your own website.
